  I would give this negative stars if I could. 0/5 would not recommend, will not return, and the Lions club should reconsider the hiring of the people in charge.

  I had to leave this campground earlier than planned because the manager physically threatened my wife. He broke my window (by accident with his lawn mower) and came towards her with a clenched fist telling her to shut up when she blamed him for it.

  So far, to me it seems that the Lions Club represents abuse of women.. and there is still broken glass covering my entire camp spot for little kids to cut their feet on. They never cleaned it up. These managers should be fired and criminally charged for harassing us non-stop until we left and threatening us.

  Do not go here if you intend on having any fun or being social. The individuals who operate this camp site do not condone it. We were told there would be communal fire pits where noise later in the evening would not be a problem. These do not exist. We had a couple who were with us and wanted to tent, on an open grass area where no trailers were close except for ours. One gentleman came over and cleared it saying it was fine to be there, only to have his wife come over and yell at me and tell me to take down the tent immediately- in the rain. I can respect 11:00 quiet time, however in one instance we were yelled at by the woman in charge due to the entire campground doing karaoke with our group at 11:15 pm. Had someone been sleeping it would have been fine to shut it down, but the entire campground was at the fire. No parking on the grass is a fine rule, but there should be adequate parking for all individuals inside the campground. Having 1 tire on the grass (dead grass), and being yelled at for that was ridiculous.

  Only giving it two stars because the campground was nice and clean and quiet. The lady who runs this place is grouchy and rude. Would have been a much more pleasant experience had there been a friendly manager.

  Horrible campground! Manager is a rude and ignorant woman. Aside from having a strict curfew of barely after dark (which is fine if there are people sleeping... but the entire campground was either at our fire or away at a wedding) the sites were small and the campground in general was not enjoyable. Rather than politely asking People to be quiet, she issued threats of having us removed in the middle of the night. Told us to go to bed as if we were children then sent her husband back later on. The setting is ridiculous as there are very few trees and you feel as if you could open your door and touch the neighboring trailer, may as well have set up in a parking lot. What a joke, I will never go here again!!! Highly suggest you not waste your money here!

  I ended up phoning Bob Graham, who is supposed to be higher up on the ladder. All he kept asking me was how my window was, and when I could sign some papers agreeing that the replacement was satisfactory. I kept telling him "This isn't about the window, Bob. This guy physically threatened my wife". He replied "Well.. ok... but I just want to come by and take a look at that window". I hung up on him because it was like talking to a wall.

  Don't go to the Lions Club. They represent everything that is wrong with society if you get in any kind of situation with them.

  My wife is 4 foot 11, 90 pounds and was very scared of him. When I mentioned to the female manager that my wife should be treated with more respect, she told me that I was wrong, and that women should be treated with equal respect in relation to men. Her opinion of equalism didn't really seem to fit the situation here.. Seriously..from her point of view, it's perfectly okay for her husband to get into a fighting position with a woman half his size and tell her to shut up - because you know, we're all equals! Great logic, lady. The Lions Club should be embarassed of these people, and the RCMP should know that they are trying to hide behind their "strong community bond" with them. I know for a fact now that the town is starting to talk. It's just a matter of time.

  If someone from the Lion Clubs wants to contact me, Bob Graham should have my number. I want to talk to whoever is above him, because he didn't do anything for us. The least they could do is investigate this incident - which they have not done.
